Awesome local favorite. Crowds speak for the quality of the food. Consistently good, fast service. I highly recommend the stuffed chicken breast special on Fridays. Very filling with a choice of two sides.
First time visitors. The food was amazing. Staff was attentive and friendly. Noise level was a little high but we were still able to carry on conversation at our table. The layout is awesome. Restrooms are clean and modern.
Was greeted as sat down immediately. Service was fast and staff were pleasant. Steak was amazingly juicy and tender although I think it could of used more seasoning it did not disappoint whatsoever. Sourdough toast and eggs completed the meal with a happy customer will be back !
Super cool little restaurant inside of an old bank. Got the eggs Benedict, best I’ve ever had. Definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.
After our flights got delayed, we had some time to kill and some empty stomachs. Brownstone Cafe was close to the airport so we decided to check it out. I’m pretty sure it used to be a bank and the interior is pretty cool. From the upper level you can see some model trains running. I got the chicken pie for lunch. It was a lot of food and it definitely hit the spot. I had a great time here and if I’m ever back in town I’ll probably want to stop in again.
The food is so good especially their brown gravy & the atmosphere is really nice. My father loved their liver & onions and my mom loves their seafood sampler.
What a charming place to stop by for something to eat, it's like you stepped foot onto a hallmark movie set. Decided to stop by here after doing some fishing by the river and I'm sure glad I did. The food is very reasonably priced but unfortunately does not reflect the quality of the meal. You would think they're charging twice the price with how delicious the food was! I ordered the baked chicken pie and it was so perfect I wish I could try it for the first time again. This place is a definite must try if you're in the area.
Hidden gem just a stones throw from the airport. Inside the old bank, is just the most amazing restaurant. We found by accident after taking family to Harrisburg airport. Best find!! The staff is so amazing, and these people Hussle....the door never stopped at our visit and everything was handled on point. Food is freaking delicious. And to see the history in photos on the wall. This is the place!!!
We have dined here for years and always have a great experience. The food is delicious, the staff are so kind and accommodating, and the building is very clean and beautiful to look at. My kids love seeing the model railroad up top. Pictured is a yummy chicken Parmesan we had split on two plates. It’s our favorite restaurant in the area and we’ll drive a bit to reach it. Absolutely wonderful experience at Brownstone Cafe! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away. The building itself is gorgeous, a beautiful setting that immediately sets the tone. But what really makes this place special is the staff. The warmth and hospitality they bring is nothing short of amazing. I ordered the seafood sampler with sides of cottage cheese, pickled beets, and a dinner roll, and every single item was done and delivered to perfection. Fresh, flavorful, large portions and clearly made with care. And the prices? Honestly, they should be illegal for how good they are. Incredible value for this quality of food and service. If you’re anywhere near Middletown, PA, do yourself a favor and stop in. I’ll absolutely be back!
